Day one
After a long 15 hour flight from Vancouver, BC, I landed in Sydney, Australia around 8am in the morning. I was feeling pretty good considering the large amount of time I had just spent in a stuffy airplane with babies crying and people coughing all around me. It didn't take me long to find the train I needed to catch to get to Bondi Junction. After I got off at the correct stop, thanks to friendly bus riders, I started my trek to find my hostel. It was so nice to be outside in the fresh air, the lovely smell and cool breeze coming off the ocean. I arrived at my hostel after a lovely little stroll along bondi road. At this point it might have been around noonish and I was ready for bed! But, I figured I would try to stay up as late as I could to attempt to switch my body over to a 17 hour different time zone... I decided to walk down to the famous Bondi beach and was pleasantly surprised by the gorgeous rocks along the walking path! The beach didn't disappoint either. After my stroll along the soft sands, I stopped at the grocery store to buy myself food for my week long stay at the YHA bondi beach hostel. I was feeling quite tired, lonely, and a little homesick, so by 6pm I was in bed to rest up and get my spirits up for the next day.
